Get creative, have fun and learn a new skill by coming along to one of my popular chunky wool blanket arm knitting workshops.

You will knit your very own chunky knit blanket from 2kg of 100% pure unspun merino wool to take home - perfect as a statement piece on your sofa, chair or bed. The final blanket will be approximately 30” x 50” in size.

Just choose your workshop date from the drop-down list and then select your chosen colour of wool to use during the workshop - take a look through the images to find your favourite colour!

No knitting experience or needles necessary! I will teach you step-by-step how to arm knit your own blanket.

Please book your place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment - there are limited places with only 8 people in each class.

Location:

Lytham Hall

I am hosting the workshop at Lytham Hall which is the finest Georgian house in Lancashire. It was once the ancestral home of the colourful Clifton Family, spanning over four centuries and is a Grade I listed building.

Please wear short sleeves to keep your arms free for knitting and remove any jewellery so it doesn't snag.

There will be refreshments and teas and coffees available to buy at the location.

Address:
Lytham Hall, Ballam Road, Lytham, FY8 4JX

Care Instructions

All products are made from 100% pure merino wool, please hand wash in luke warm water and dry flat.

Lytham Hall Arm knitting

What a fantastic experience, loved every minute of the class. I'm a keen knitter and was a bit sceptical how the blanket would turn out. But wow it's fantastic!!! Would highly recommend the workshop even if you can't knit. Thank you so much Ali

Pumpkins in April

I spotted Ally's postcard-sized flyer at our village florist in Sutton, a few days before the workshop was due to take place. I was drawn to the vibrant colours of the wools and to the smiles of the arm-knitters. Signing up, I chose to knit with Clementine, as I wanted a bright and glowing orange splash for the lounge. Ally offered me Pumpkin in lieu of Clementine, as I had signed up late for ordering particular colours. On the workshop day, my ball of soft wool resembled a pumpkin in shade and size. Our group of twelve balls of wool was a riot of different shades. Ally taught clearly and, with infinite patience, she ensured that each of her twelve disciples proceeded with confidence.
The workshop was an utter treat. And the throw is delicious! Thank you very much

Fabulous Workshop

I didn't know what to expect when I signed up for this workshop - I am SO pleased I attended as it was a really great experience. I love the blanket that I made and have ordered some more wool so that I can make another at home.
